ADILABAD: State government has released ₹1.5 crore for Adivasis in the erstwhile Adilabad district to celebrate Gussadi in their gudems on the occasion of Diwali.
Khanapur MLA Vedma Bojju and former Adilabad MP Soyam Bapurao Rao said they had met Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and requested him to release funds to Adivasis to celebrate Gussadi / Dandari on the occasion of Diwali.
Adivasi sarpanches and community elders felicitated the two leaders for getting the funds released for the celebrations.
Vedma Bojju and Soyam Bapurao thanked the Chief Minister, Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka, Tribal minister Adluri Laxman, and district in-charge minister Jupapally Krishna Rao for the release of funds.
