But as usual, the woman does not get to live her life of freedom as she is forced to come face-to-face with an old enemy, ‘Captain Connor,’ leading to an experience of revenge and survival, with the lead character trying to protect her new identity.
What’s good about the storyline is that there is enough scope to show a lot of authenticity, considering that the movie is set in a different period. The scale of the film on screen attempts to create a mood in the minds of the viewers, and the script does not fail in doing the same. However, it stays in one place and does not break the boundaries to bring something extraordinary. Karl Urban plays the antagonist, ‘Captain Connor.’ The actor’s screen presence will be loved by everyone. However, the character does not offer anything new, and it is something that has been watched by the audience many times in the past. Compared to Priyanka Chopra and Karl Urban, the other cast members don’t get a chance to shine, specifically since the script completely focuses on the conflict between ‘Ercell’ and ‘Connor.’ But in between all that, Vedanten Naidoo, who appears as ‘Ercell’s’ son, ‘Isaac,’ grabs attention in a few moments.
