Stephen Libby may have found fame on a BBC programme, but he’s already been snapped up by rival network ITV and has landed himself a huge role on This Morning

Stephen Libby wasted no time joining a rival network after winning The Traitors. Along with Rachel Duffy, he made history as part of the only duo to win the show.

Throughout their time on the BBC One game, they managed to deceive their co-stars and make it all the way to the final, bagging a huge cash prize. Now, though, the Scotsman has signed to rival network ITV and has already started his new role on This Morning alongside main presenters, Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard.

Stephen, 32, landed a job fronting the fashion segment on the ITV magazine programme thanks to his show-stopping outfits while appearing on The Traitors. Since the show aired, he’s already gained over 450,000 followers on the photo-sharing site, Instagram.

Throughout his segment on the show, Stephen showcased a string of outfits he’d found in both vintage stores and on the high street. And Stephen, known for his flamboyant jumpsuits, had Ben get involved, with the broadcaster stepping out in a full jumpsuit.

But Stephen’s fashion icon, Anneka Rice, also popped in to surprise Stephen, leaving him completely speechless. “We’ve all been talking about your jumpsuits in the castle,” Ben said, adding, “Of course, everyone started reminiscing about Anneka Rice. In fact, Anneka was watching, and she tweeted about it, didn’t she?”

Stephen explained that Anneka tweeted while the show was airing, with her tweet reading: “Wait… What! Steven [sic] is actually wearing one of my jumpsuits #TraitorsUK,” Ben explained that he and Cat were “thrilled” he was on the show before revealing the big surprise.

“Is this a joke?!” a shocked Stephen quipped as Anneka made her way into the studio. He asked: “Are you kidding?! What is going on?! Look at this, you look phenomenal!” Anneka explained that she later deleted her tweet as she was “overwhelmed” by how many people had interacted with it.

“I went to bed, put the duvet on and had a gin and tonic,” she laughed. And Stephen’s new role has certainly gone down well with fans who flocked to social media. One said: “We need to see this Stephen-Anika segment make it happen @thismorning.”

A second went on to write: “Stephen is like a walking dopamine hit very watchable #thismorning.” “Actually loving this fashion segment…. Stephen is fab,” commented a third. Meanwhile, a fourth went on to type: “That was so cute when they surprised Stephen with Anika.”

Another added: “I’m loving Stephen on the fashion segment. So much better than the usual presenters. #ThisMorning.” Stephen has already turned his back on his career in cybersecurity and hopes to pursue a career in showbiz. Speaking to the BBC last month, he said: “This is an opportunity to take a wee break and that really is all it is. I want to relax for a bit and give myself a bit of time.

“I would love to just make sure that in the future I’m doing something that genuinely makes me happy, I’ve never hated my job in cyber security, but it’s not something that I feel passionate about. I’ve lots of things I feel passionate about, and I would be a very lucky boy if I could work in one of those areas, because it’s not something everyone gets to do.”
