Josie Gibson couldn’t have looked more smitten as she cosied up to her hunky new man, Sam Wolfenden, at last week’s Cheltenham Festival. The This Morning favourite appeared more than a little distracted from the racing as she and Sam – who has been dubbed “the world’s hottest farrier” – gazed into one another’s eyes at the star-studded sporting event.
“Josie has never felt happier than she does right now, she’s smitten,” a source tells new. “She’s hoping it’s the real deal with Sam. Anyone that sees them together notices they have a great connection and really make each other laugh.”

According to reports, Josie, 41, and Sam, 33, first bonded a year ago while filming a segment for the ITV daytime show. And at Ladies Day last week, the pair could barely keep their hands off one another – quite literally – as they flirted on a balcony.

Hours before their PDA, the couple, who are said to have “incredible chemistry”, had again filmed for This Morning’s cameras, after which Josie wrapped her arms around the handsome equestrian influencer. At one point, she lovingly pressed her hand against his.
News of Josie’s new man will bring joy to fans of the star, who last year admitted it wouldn’t be “fair” to have a partner as her time is taken up with her TV career and her seven-year-old son, Reggie. But thanks to Sam, it seems she’s had a re-think.
“She feels like she deserves this moment in her life,” says our source. “Josie has done a lot of self-care in recent times, working out, looking after her health like never before after various health and weight battles, and now she’s reaping the benefits.”
Josie was previously in a relationship with property developer Terry Bond, who is Reggie’s father. In 2023, there were rumours she was dating This Morning cameraman Sam Morter, but she publicly denied the claims, insisting their relationship was purely platonic.
In December, new reported how Josie has “never felt better” after showing off her incredible 5st weight loss. She had previously hit back at claims she’d undergone weight-loss surgery, posting on Instagram, “I didn’t get a gastric bypass; got off my big a**e, moved more, ate less and educated myself on what I was stuffing into my body.”
She also said she wasn’t tempted by weight-loss jabs, stressing she didn’t want to “mess around” with her body. “I like everything natural – I always go down the natural route,” she said.
And love is certainly in the air. “It’s not just about having a gorgeous new man on her arm – which of course she is very happy about – but also she feels content and comfortable in her own skin,” says our source. “She’s feeling really confident and it shows. Everything’s coming up rosy for Josie!”
