Former Strictly Come Dancing star Thomas Skinner has broken his cover just hours after it was claimed the reality star has allegedly launched a lawsuit against the BBC
Thomas Skinner has stepped out after it’s claimed he launched a lawsuit against the BBC. The reality star, who this year appeared on Strictly Come Dancing, reportedly has “evidence” that the voting system is “rigged”.
Skinner, 34, was the first contestant to be eliminated from the series, alongside his professional dancer Amy Dowden, earlier this year. However, he claims that there was foul play to have him voted off from the show as early as possible.
In the first two weeks, the four judges score contestants on their dancing ability, along with the results from a public vote. The result of the public vote is not disclosed. But it has been claimed by a source that Thomas claims to have proof that the results downplayed his total scores after they were added up.
Speaking to The Sun, a source said: “Thomas is adamant he got a larger share of the public vote and believes he has the evidence to prove it. He is determined to see it through, but there’s no way the BBC will take this sensational claim lying down.” They went on: “They’ll robustly defend any kinds of claims that the voting was rigged or fixed.”
But a spokesperson for the BBC said: “Strictly Come Dancing’s public vote is robust and independently overseen and verified to ensure complete accuracy.” A source at the corporation also told the Mirror that they hadn’t received any complaint or paperwork relating to the alleged lawsuit.
Today, Thomas appeared to be in good spirits as he went about his day, chatting with members of the public ahead of the Christmas period.
