Tim Cook’s other major exhibitions included Victory 1918 – The Last 100 Days, Communities at War, and War and Medicine. Besides exhibitions, Tim also spearheaded the Museum’s oral history projects. “He [Tim Cook] conceived and led multiple major updates to the Museum’s galleries, research, publications, lectures and international outreach. He was the Museum’s champion for In Their Own Voices, an oral history project collecting interviews of veterans and their loved ones.”

Tim Cook was also recognized for his extensive research and numerous award-winning books on the country’s wartime experiences, with a focus on both World Wars. He was an acclaimed author, publishing over 19 books and receiving awards such as the Ottawa Book Award multiple times and the Charles Taylor Prize for his book, Shock Troops. His research led to significant historical findings, including the revelation in his book, Life Savers and Body Snatchers.
