Tom Brady’s ex, supermodel, Gisele Bundchen, has said ‘I do’ again after getting hitched to her jiu-jitsu instructor boyfriend.
The Brazilian, 45, who welcomed a baby boy with martial arts guru, Joaquim Valentes, earlier this year, split from NFL star, Tom in 2022. After declaring that their marriage was “irretrievably broken“, Gisele found love with her fellow Brazilian beau in 2023 before announcing they were expecting a baby together in 2024.
They have now made things official after reportedly getting married on December 3 in an intimate ceremony at their family home in Florida after Gisele initially hired Joaquim to teach her kids self-defence.

According to TMZ, while Gisele and Joaquim didn’t broadcast the nuptials on social media or make a big spectacle beforehand, this wasn’t a ‘secret’ wedding because close family and friends knew about their plans. The couple were first spotted together in November 2022, when they visited Costa Rica with the model’s two kids she shares with Tom.
The Brazilian bombshell, who is hailed as one of the most iconic supermodels of recent times, originally denied a romantic relationship with her trainer, but a love later blossomed between the pair. In February 2024, a source confirmed the couple’s relationship to People magazine and noted that their friendship had become a romance.
“They started out as great friends first. She’s very private about this and wanted to keep it quiet while they got to know each other,” a source said at the time.
A second source said that Joaquim “was a huge comfort” for Gisele “while she went through her divorce” with Tom. She and the former NFL star filed for divorce on October 28, 2022, after 13 years of marriage.
Ahead of their shock split, Gisele reportedly told Tom that he “either leaves football to spend time with the family or she will be gone for good,” per a US Weekly article published in October 2022.
Additionally, the model also released a cryptic quote on Instagram at around that time, in which their divorce was announced, which read: “You can’t be in a committed relationship with someone who is inconsistent with you. Read that again.”
Claiming Gisele was hesitant to date after her divorce before she met Joaquim, the insider said: “Joaquim is a great guy. He is down to earth, kind and inspiring. Gisele was hesitant about dating after the divorce but it’s been very natural for her to date Joaquim.
“They come from similar backgrounds. They both left Brazil very young. They have both created amazing lives for themselves in the U.S.”
Explaining that the pair both love living in Florida, travelling and healthy living, they concluded: “Gisele’s in a great space. She is happy and very much enjoying life. Joaquim is perfect for her.”
