Australian singer Tones and I has splashed more than $6 million on three properties on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula.

The Dance Monkey star, real name Toni Watson, snapped up the neighbouring titles in her hometown region for $6.4 million.

The 32-year-old songwriter and producer, who landed her first US Billboard No.1 song this week, added to her property portfolio this year.

The three properties are spread across almost 2.8 hectares and were billed as a rare “lifestyle opportunity” when they listed in March this year.

One of the properties is a grand country retreat echoing traditional English architecture with a modern twist in the backyard – a swimming pool with a theme park-style water slide.

The mix of old country charm with modernised style continues indoors.

Earlier listing photos show an impressive main house.

Among its key features is a home theatre room, a home office and a kitchen flooded with natural light and an uninterrupted view of the grounds. The main house sold for $2.9 million.

The third property has a large shed and refurbished smaller house. It sold for $1.4 million.

Property records state Watson purchased the three properties through her company, Johnny Run Away Pty Ltd, named after her debut single.

High-profile Mornington Peninsula agent Michelle Skoglund, from Aqua Real Estate, was understood to be linked to the deal.

However, when contacted by Domain, Skoglund declined to comment.

The three Mornington Peninsula houses join Watson’s growing property portfolio.

In 2021, she spent more than $7 million on a mansion in Mount Eliza.

The property was down the road from a separate home the Fly Away singer bought in 2020 for $5.1 million.

Tones and I bought a second Mount Eliza mansion for $7.08 million.

She also bought an $800,000 home in Frankston in an off-market sale in 2019.

Never forgetting her roots, Watson also owns property in Byron Bay.

In 2017, she travelled to the popular New South Wales holiday spot where she lived and busked full-time. It was during this time that the Cloudy Day singer was discovered.

This week, Watson landed her first US Billboard Dance No.1 with the track Gone Gone Gone, a collaboration with French DJ David Guetta and US singer Teddy Swims.

As of 2022, Watson had an estimated net worth of $35 million.

The purchase of the three Mornington Peninsula properties was first reported by the Herald Sun.
