US President Donald Trump on Wednesday (local time) issued a sharp ultimatum to Iran, warning that American forces would target the country’s electric power infrastructure if no agreement is reached during ongoing discussions.
In a national address providing an update on “Operation Epic Fury”, Trump said the United States is close to achieving its military objectives and signalled an escalation in strikes over the coming weeks.
‘Will Hit Extremely Hard’: Trump
Trump said Iran would face intensified attacks over the next two to three weeks, reiterating his administration’s hardline stance.
“Thanks to the progress we’ve made, I can say tonight that we are on track to complete all of America’s military objectives shortly. Very shortly,” he said.
“We’re going to hit them extremely hard over the next two to three weeks. We’re going to bring them back to the Stone Ages,” Trump added, while noting that discussions with Iran are still ongoing.

Ultimatum Over Power Infrastructure
Issuing a direct warning, the US president said failure to reach a deal would trigger coordinated strikes on Iran’s electricity network.
“If during this period of time, no deal is made… we are going to hit each and every one of their electric generating plants very hard, and probably simultaneously,” he said.
Trump also claimed that the US has deliberately avoided targeting Iran’s oil sector so far, despite describing it as the “easiest target”.
“We have not hit their oil… because it would not give them even a small chance of survival or rebuilding. But we could hit it, and it would be gone,” he said.
‘We Are Unstoppable’: Trump
The president asserted that US forces hold overwhelming military superiority, claiming Iran lacks the capability to effectively defend against such strikes.
“We are unstoppable as a military force,” he said.
Trump also reiterated that regime change was not an explicit objective, though he suggested that developments on the ground had already altered Iran’s leadership landscape.
