President Trump on Sunday claimed he has offered “immunity from death” to Iranian negotiators as peace talks continue.
Trump added to Fox News that Operation Epic Fury is “under control” after two US military planes were shot down over the weekend.
“We’ve given them immunity from death,’’ Trump told the outlet of Iranian negotiators. “And we’ve told the people that we’re dealing with, who are the top people.
“The big thing is they’re not going to have a nuclear weapon. They’re not even negotiating that point; it’s so easy. That’s already been conceded. Most of the points are conceded,” he said.
But the president warned that if Iranian leaders “don’t make a deal and fast,’’ he is “considering blowing everything up and taking the oil.
“You’re going to see bridges and power plants dropping all over their county,” he said.
Trump separately told Axios that his team, including special envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, are in “deep negotiations” with Iran.
He boasted to the outlet that when he “felt [Iranians] were not being serious,” he would order an attack on a bridge.
Earlier Sunday, Trump posted a foul-mouthed tirade on Truth Social, echoing his declaration to send Iran “back to the Stone Ages where they belong’’ if peace fails to emerge.
“Tuesday will be Power Plant Day, and Bridge Day, all wrapped up in one, in Iran,” Trump posted on Truth Social. “There will be nothing like it!!!
“Open the F—in’ Strait, you crazy b—–ds, or you’ll be living in Hell. JUST WATCH! Praise be to Allah,” he wrote.
A few hours later, he added, “Tuesday, 8:00 P.M. Eastern Time!” indicating that he was extending the deadline for the strait’s opening.
Trump originally imposed a brief pause on strikes against Iranian energy facilities, which is in effect through Monday.
