American journalist Tucker Carlson has accused President Donald Trump of mocking Christians by issuing an expletive-laden threat to Iran at Easter.
On Sunday, Trump again demanded Tehran to unblock the Strait of Hormuz, which has remained effectively shut since the US-Israeli attack on Iran on February 28.
“Open the f**king strait, you crazy bastards, or you’ll be living in hell. JUST WATCH! Praise be to Allah,” the US leader wrote on his Truth Social platform, threatening to demolish Iranian power plants and bridges if it does not comply by Tuesday.
Responding on his show on Monday, Carlson said: “How dare you speak that way on Easter morning to the country. Who do you think you are? You’re tweeting out the F-word on Easter morning?”
By mentioning Allah, the US president is also “mocking the religion of Iran,” the journalist said. “OK, if you seek a religious war, that’s a good idea,” he added, sarcastically.
