‘Vadh 2’ Early Review, Netizen Calls Neena Gupta And Sanjay Mishra Starrer, ‘Absolute Cinema’

Neena Gupta and Sanjay Mishra are hogging the limelight for their upcoming film, Vadh 2. Just a few more hours to go. For the unversed, Vadh 2 is all set to release in theatres on January 6, 2026. Recently, the duo made headlines with their unrecognisable retro look at Vadh 2. The film is the second instalment of the Vadh franchise. Directed by Jaspal Singh Sandhu, the film stars Neena and Sanjay in the lead roles. Amid the buzz surrounding the film, here comes the early review.

What to expect in the film, Vadh 2? (Spoilers ahead)

Vadh 2 kicks off with ‘Manju Mishra’ (played by Neena Gupta), serving a life sentence for a crime involving a young couple. She shares a special bond with police officer, ‘Shambhunath Mishra’ (played by Sanjay Mishra). However, no one is aware of their secret chemistry. Just like ‘Manju’, ‘Keshav’ (played by Akshay Dogra), brother of a powerful MLA, is also behind bars for committing different crimes. The story of Vadh 2 takes a U-turn when ‘Manju’ and ‘Shambhunath’ get involved to track down ‘Keshav’. They face several hurdles as they move forward to seek justice. Speaking to IANS, director, Jaspal Singh Sandhu called the film, a ‘layered thriller-mystery’.

Vadh 2 is the spiritual sequel of the 2022 film, Vadh. The 2022 film won two Filmfare awards, Best Actor (Critics), Sanjay Mishra, and Best Debut Director, Jaspal Singh Sandhu, and Rajeev. Now that Vadh 2 is gearing up for its theatrical release, the anticipation is high. Vadh 2 director, Jaspal Singh Sandhu, calls the film, a ‘complete entertainer’

In a recent interview, director, Jaspal Singh Sandhu called Vadh 2, a ‘complete entertainer’. He shared that the film is based on strong performances and characters. He mentioned that the film has both dark and funny elements. He was quoted as saying:

“Vadh 2 is a complete entertainer rooted in strong characters and performances. The trailer may have night shots, but the film is a complete entertainer. It’s dark at times, it’s funny at times, not in-your-face humour, but situational light moments.”

In a recent interview with IANS, producer, Luv Ranjan shared that Vadh 2, would carry forward the emotional depth of the 2022 film, Vadh. He mentioned that the film was special because remarkable actors, Sanjay Mishra and Neena Gupta, were part of this franchise. He was quoted as saying:

“Vadh 2 takes forward the philosophy and emotional depth of the first film with a completely new story. What makes it special is that the franchise is led by remarkable senior actors- Sanjay Mishra and Neena Gupta, and joining them is Kumud Mishra, and together their powerful screen presence reinforces our belief that strong stories transcend age and convention.”
