Virat Kohli’s Son, Akaay Runs Ahead Of Him, While He Cutely Pats Him In Rare And Unseen Video

Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma are happily settled in London with their children, Vamika and Akaay. The couple’s decision is taken from a thought of giving their children a life away from their superstardom and paparazzi culture. They are shuttling between London and India, and are making sure to provide a regular childhood to Vamika, who is five years old and Akaay, who is two.

A video of Virat and Akaay has emerged on social media. In the clip, Virat was seen taking a stroll with his son, Akaay, in London. Virat was seen holding Akaay’s hand, and they walked together on the footpath next to The Amadeus in North West, London. However, at one point, Akaay stopped midway, and Virat cutely pats his hair and asks him to keep going on. However, in the clip, Akaay’s face was covered with a heart emoji for safety reasons.

For the unversed, in November 2024, a video of Anushka with a child went viral from one of Virat’s matches. Many believed that the child, along with Anushka, is Akaay. However, Virat’s sister, Bhawna Kohli Dhingra, clarified the buzz. She stated that the child wasn’t Akaay but her friend’s daughter. Taking to Instagram stories, she wrote:

“Have been seeing Virat and Anushka’s friend’s daughter being mistaken for Akaay on social media. The child in the picture is not our Akaay.. thank you.”

Virat and Anushka have been living their best life in London, away from Indian media and crazy fan encounters with their kids, Akaay Kohli and Vamika Kohli. According to a report in The Telegraph, Virat, who is now based in London with his wife, Anushka Sharma and their two children, Vamika and Akaay, has chosen to live a quiet life of anonymity miles away from the cricket field, he once ruled. Virat craves a private life away from cricket, which he loves dearly. 

Earlier, Madhuri Dixit’s husband, Dr. Sriram Nene, who runs a health and wellness YouTube channel, revealed the reason for Virat Kohli’s decision to shift his base to another country. He was in conversation with Ranveer Allahabadia and revealed that Anushka and Virat had decided to move to London, as they were unable to enjoy their success in India. He said: 

“We had a conversation with Anushka one day, and it was very interesting. They were thinking about moving to London because they can’t enjoy their success (here). And we appreciate what they go through, because anything they do attracts attention. We almost become isolated.”

Dr. Nene shared that there are times when he is also often asked to click selfies, and he feels it is too much, but it is his wife, Madhuri, who takes it as an issue. He added that Virat and Anushka just want to give their kids a normal life, and they keep visiting the country. He shared:

“Not in a bad way, but there comes a time when it becomes intrusive, when you’re at dinner or lunch, and you have to be polite about it. For my wife, it becomes an issue. But (Anushka and Virat) are lovely people, and they just want to raise their kids normally.”
