Robert Plant is about to “Ramble On” in the Big Apple.
The former Led Zeppelin frontman has a pair of shows with his four-person acoustic backing band Saving Grace lined up in New York State in early November.
First up, the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer is slated to headline at Brooklyn’s Paramount on Wednesday, Nov. 5. Shortly after, he’ll hit Port Chester’s Capitol Theatre on Saturday, Nov. 8.
If you want to see the living legend live, last-minute tickets are available for both gigs.
At the time of publication, the lowest price we could find for the Brooklyn show was $240 including fees on Vivid Seats.
Tickets start at $275 including fees for the Port Chester concert.
While expensive, prices have dropped for both shows since we last reported on what it cost to see the 77-year-old back in August.
Prior to these upcoming NY stops, Plant and Saving Grace have performed one show together thus far (at the time of publication). That show went down at Wheeling, WV’s Capitol Theatre on Oct. 30. Based on our findings at Set List FM, the fivesome brought 14 songs to the stage including Zeppelin classics “Ramble On,” “The Rain Song,” “Friends,” “Four Sticks” and “Gallows Pole/Black Dog.”
Other tracks that made the cut that evening were Neil Young, Moby Grape and Low covers as well as six tunes from Plant’s newly-released record “Saving Grace” (which shares a name with his band).
“In a live setting, the songs from the ‘Saving Grace’ album carried a bit more of a welcome edge and seemed extra dynamic,” Ultimate Classic Rock reported, in a review of the show. “The long note Plant and Dian held together to dramatically close out their cover of Low’s “Everybody’s Song” was a perfect example, and one of several times the performance brought the sold-out crowd to its feet.”
They also allegedly heard a concertgoer say “”I knew he was going to be great, but….wow” as they left the West Virginia venue.

Robert Plant new music
On Sept. 26, Plant dropped his 12th studio album “Saving Grace.”
One of the major standouts here is the aforementioned cover of Low’s “Everbody’s Song.” Although the high-pitched yelp that made Plant famous has become a bit gruffer and raspier over the years, the indefatigable spirit is still deeply embedded within his voice that makes it unmistakably Robert Plant-ian.
Over Zeppelin-esque “Battle of Evermore”-like mandolins — that wouldn’t sound out of place over a “Game of Thrones” battle — the jolly collaborators deliver a truly foreboding track. It’s sweeping, epic, intimate and much heavier than Plant’s detour into bluegrass these past few years.
Also, be sure to check out “Gospel Plough,” which somehow sounds like it was plucked from a Tolkien-esque fantasy world and America’s heartland. Plant duets with Saving Grace’s Suzi Dian here to create an unnerving, spiritual listening experience.
If you’d like to hear for yourself, you can find Robert Plant’s both tracks here.
And, as a bonus, here’s the track list for “Saving Grace” (his first album since 2021’s “Raise The Roof” with Alison Krauss and first solo effort since 2017’s “Carry Fire”):
01.) “Chevrolet”
02.) “As I Roved Out” (traditional folk song)
03.) “It’s A Beautiful Day Today” (Moby Grape cover)
04.) “Soul Of A Man” (Blind Willie Johnson cover)
05.) “Ticket Taker” (the Low Anthem cover)
06.) “I Never Will Marry” (The Carter Family cover)
07.) “Higher Rock”
08.) “Too Far From You”
09.) “Everybody’s Song” (Low cover)
10.) “Gospel Plough”
Some tracks were previously performed by Memphis Minnie, Martha Scanlan and Sarah Siskind.
Saving Grace
In 2019, Plant formed the four-person group Saving Grace.
For the past six years, Suzi Dian (vocals), Oli Jefferson (percussion), Tony Kelsey (mandolin, baritone and acoustic guitar) and Matt Worley (banjo, cuatro and acoustic and baritone guitars) have been waiting for their moment in the sun.
The handpicked group was originally supposed to perform live in 2020 — they announced their tour on March 3, 2020 (!) — but their trek was promptly canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
After doing a bit of digging, we found their music is typically comprised of “songs that span Plant’s diverse tastes and influences, notably his lifelong passion for British and American folk, spirituals, and traditional blues.” Plant also referred to their sound as “psychedelic soul.”
