Who Are Nicholas Braimbridge And Tony Cooper? All About ‘Bridgerton’ Tributes In Season 4’s Finale

Bridgerton’s glittering world has closed its doors for a while with the conclusion of its fourth season, filled with romance, revelations and a heartfelt tribute. When Season 4 Part 2 dropped on Netflix on February 26, 2026, audiences were quick to watch the remaining four episodes with ‘Benedict’ and ‘Sophie’s’ long-awaited wedding. But when the credits rolled with a happy ending, a quiet message: “In Loving Memory of Nicholas Braimbridge and Tony Cooper,” left many viewers wondering who these individuals were and how they were connected to the popular Netflix series.

Who was Nicholas Braimbridge?

Nicholas Braimbridge was a scenic artist who worked behind the scenes on Bridgerton and its prequel, Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story. Subsequently, he played a significant role in bringing back the show’s opulent Regency-era settings to life. Additionally, he specialised in faux finishes, intricate marbling, and detailed wood-grain effects, which helped create the grand interiors seen across the Bridgerton universe. Bridgerton’s production designer, Alison Gartshore, previously paid tribute to him in a GoFundMe page created after his death in May 2025. 

She remembered him as a “hugely talented scenic artist” who was an “integral part” of the art department. Moreover, she praised his expertise and warmth, addressing him as a “delightful, charming, funny man, a true gent.” Alison revealed that he had lost his wife to cancer months before his death, leaving two teenage daughters. Subsequently, the fundraiser was made to support his daughters, Flora and Amelia. Although Nicholas’ contribution might not be directly visible on-screen, his artistry brought the visual grandeur of Bridgerton to life. In her words:

“I worked closely with Nick, and he was an integral part of our Art department team, and was a delightful, charming, funny man – a true gent. Everyone who met him loved him, and we, as a team, are very upset by his passing. He will be greatly missed.” 

Who was Tony Cooper?

Another individual named in the tribute was Tony Cooper, who worked behind the scenes as a unit driver. He worked on both Bridgerton and Queen Charlotte. Tony’s role was to transport the cast, crew, and equipment between filming locations. Although he did not have a direct impact on the show, he had a significant responsibility that is often overlooked in large-scale productions. Apart from the Bridgerton franchise, Tony had an extensive resume as a driver in major film and television projects. 

Apart from Bridgerton, Tony also worked on other large-scale productions, including The Crown, The Batman, Spider-Man: Far From Home, and Black Widow. He used to ensure that crew and equipment moved smoothly across locations. Therefore, the tribute in the Season 4 finale is a significant recognition of the many crew members who make vital contributions to a show’s success but whose efforts are ultimately overlooked.

What do we know about Bridgerton Season 5?

Although Netflix has officially confirmed seasons 5 and 6 of Bridgerton, a mystery surrounds the show’s leads. According to the showrunner, Jess Brownell, Seasons 5 and 6 will focus on the ‘Bridgerton’ sisters, ‘Eloise’ portrayed by Claudia Jessie and ‘Francesca’ played by Hannah Dodd. However, the order remains undisclosed.

Meanwhile, the filming for the upcoming season will reportedly begin in March 2026 in the UK. Later, the show might be released in late 2027 or early 2028. At the same time, the Season 4 finale offered subtle hints, including a conversation about whose wedding might be next in the post-credit scene. It will be important to see whether ‘Eloise’s unexpected interest in weddings or ‘Francesca’s continued mourning will be pursued first by the makers.
