Who Is Blake Davis On ‘Selling Sunset’? Know Emma Hernan’s Boyfriend And His Rift With Chrishell

Netflix had just dropped a new episodes of Selling Sunset season 9 on October 29, 2025, much to the relief of curious fans. The audience who had been wanting to see more luxury listings and dramatic showdowns, yet all they got to see was Blake Davis. For those unaware, the 28-year-old Florida native made an unexpected splash on the show as Emma Hernan’s new boyfriend.

Needless to say, he instantly became one of the most talked-about names this season. Whether it was his bizarre comment about never eating fruits or vegetables to his explosive feud with Chrishell Stause, Blake’s presence stirred up more drama than a million-dollar listing.

Who Is Blake Davis?

According to Emma Hernan, Blake is a 27-year-old real estate heir who “doesn’t really work”. Yet, he claims to hail from serious money. She revealed that Blake was a client of hers and they dated for some time. His dad was involved in investing in microwave popcorn. They make real money from real estate. Emma described him as “family-oriented” and “fun”. She claimed that he was the one man she kept coming back to. However, viewers were quick to notice his weird habits and statements.

For instance, during one scene, Blake proudly declared that he had never eaten a fruit or vegetable in his life. Furthermore, he admitted that he was unfamiliar with Boston. Next, his go-to drink? A “Double Grey Goose and Sprite. No garnish.” When he was having dinner with Emma’s co-stars Chrishell Stause and Chelsea Lazkani, Blake’s improper jokes and awkward energy didn’t exactly win them over. Sharing her views on Blake, Chrishell said:

 “It feels like I’m talking to a child. Or a drunk teenager.”.

What led to the conflict between Blake-Chrishell on Selling Sunset? 

A simple discomfort between Blake and Chrishell soon turned into a major conflict on the show. Chrishell, known for her outspokenness, did not mince her words when discussing Blake, saying that he falls into the ‘do-not-date’ category for Emma. She also called him ‘controlling’ and ‘obsessive’. Especially during one of the episodes, Chrishell even accused him of being the kind of man who isolates women from their careers and friends. In her words:

“He doesn’t work, doesn’t want you to work”

The tension did not end there. In May 2025, Chrishell once replied to a fan’s concern on her Instagram and mentioned, “Ask her about her MAGA boyfriend who told me pronouns are dumb and that he likes to use the N-word. I just can’t do that.” All of this did not go down well with Blake, who slammed her in an interview with the Daily Mail. He mentioned that he had met Chrishell only a few times and denied ever discussing politics or using slurs. Yet, he said that he once called Chrishell’s partner, G Flip, incorrectly as her wife and has since used their preferred pronouns with respect. Later, Cosmopolitan reported that Blake asked fans on Instagram if he should sue Chrishell for lying.

Are Emma and Blake still together?

At the end of Selling Sunset Season 9, Emma shared that Blake had proposed to her. However, she later called it the worst ever proposal since he was drunk at that moment. She clarified that she realised he was not her person, and the more they got involved, the more jealous and possessive he became, which did not go down well with her. Emma eventually ended the relationship, saying she wanted to focus on her independence. However, in late September 2025, fans noticed that Emma posted a TikTok video with Blake from a beach couple’s challenge, leaving fans doubtful on whether she is back with Blake or not.
