John Mellencamp is one of the most renowned and beloved American singer-songwriters. Always having a knack for music, John played in a number of local bands during his college years, including a glam rock band called Trash. Kristin Kehrberg was married once before  

Similar to her now-boyfriend, John Mellencamp, Kristin has also been married before. In 1970, John married Pricilla Esterline, with whom he stayed together for nearly a decade, until they went their separate ways in 1981. He got married for the second time, this time to Victoria Granucci, in 1981. The pair got divorced in 1989. A few years later, John tied the knot with fashion model, Elaine Irwin, before splitting in 2011, putting an end to their 18 years of marriage.  

On the other hand, Kristin Kehrberg was married to Richard “Dick” Tarlow. Sadly, he passed away in May 2022. Apparently, Kristen’s late husband was an ad executive, which was revealed by Ad Age when they confirmed the news of his death. Later, The New York Times reported that Richard passed away “peacefully in his sleep with his wife Kristin Kehrberg by his side.” The report also claimed that the couple’s children were present with him at the time of his death.

If reports are believed to be true, John Mellencamp’s girlfriend, Kristin Kehrberg, has worked with several A-listers, owing to her background as a movie producer. Notably, she has worked in the 2027 rom-com, The Wilde Wedding. The film starred Glenn Close, Patrick Stewart, Grace Van Patten, and more renowned actors. Kristin was also listed as a producer on the project.

In an August 2023 interview with Maher, John Mellencamp opened up about how he met his girlfriend, Kristin Mellencamp, for the first time. Well, their encounter happened rather unexpectedly at the singer’s home. Recounting the time John Mellencamp said: 

“She’s a beautiful 57-year-old woman who just walked into my apartment in New York unexpectedly. She was with a couple of friends. She walked in. She didn’t know I was going to be there. I didn’t know she was there. We met each other.”

In the same interview with Maher, John Mellencamp confessed that his girlfriend, Kristin Kehrberg, has “never” been upset with him. Listening to this, the comedian joked that John and Kristin were going through a phase which he called “the golden period” of their relationship. However, John made sure to reassure him that, up until that time, Kristin had “never got angry” with him. He said that he knows it is “hard to believe,” but apparently Kristin “has a really high threshold for tolerance.”

John Mellencamp has been pretty open about his relationship with his girlfriend, Kristin Kehrberg. Not only has he spoken about their relationship in public, but he has also introduced her to his family. This is evidenced by the fact that in August 2023, the same year that they met, Kristin attended a school event for John’s granddaughter, Slate, alongside him. For the unversed, she is the daughter of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, Teddi Mellencamp, and her ex-husband, Edwin Arroyave. At the event, John and Kristin wore matching outfits – white T-shirts, black trousers, and black sneakers. Later, the couple was even caught by paparazzi cameras, hugging in the street.  

Kristin Kehrberg has two children from her previous relationship  

Just like John Mellencamp, who has welcomed children from his previous marriages, Kristin also has two children of her own. While little is known about them publicly, according to a Page Six report, she welcomed two sons during a relationship before her marriage to her late husband, Richard. During her marriage to Richard, she also stepped into the role of a stepmother to his children. According to The New York Times, he had welcomed three kids from a previous relationship.
