Who Is Zack Jaghoub? Man Looks ‘Identical’ To Masked Perp In Nancy Guthrie Case? Range Rover Link?

The mysterious disappearance of 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie is close to reaching its fourth week, and there are still no leads about her possible location or solid proof of life. However, the public is not ready to give up on the investigation just yet. Locals in Tucson, Arizona, along with internet sleuths and self-proclaimed social media detectives, are trying to find as many hints and tips as possible to help find Today co-anchor Savannah Guthrie’s mom.

The Pima County Sheriff’s Department and the FBI have extended their pleas to the public to help bring Nancy home. Amid this, social media has once again taken the investigation into its own hands. This time, the attention has zeroed in on a man named Zaidoun ‘Zack’ Jaghoub. But why are so many users convinced that Zack is the masked perpetrator?

Who is Zack Jaghoub, and how did his name surface in Nancy Guthrie’s investigation?

Zaidoun ‘Zack’ Jaghoub’s name gained traction on social media platforms such as X and Reddit over the past few days. Last Friday, on February 13, 2026, a Range Rover was seized during a law enforcement operation near Guthrie’s home. The vehicle, wrapped in “evidence” tape, was towed from a Culver’s parking lot in Tucson. Internet users quickly noticed that the Range Rover appeared to have a license plate frame from a Tucson dealership named MG Motors. Some users built on this information and scrolled through MG Motors’ Instagram page, where they stumbled across an older post featuring a Range Rover. Zack Jaghoub was one of the people who had liked the photo.

Further digging revealed that Zack Jaghoub resides in the Arizona locality, allegedly somewhere on California Ave. Upon checking his social media account, users found that MG Motors also followed him, but it was his facial features that raised further suspicion. Users on X shared Jack’s photos and mentioned that he appeared to have a goatee, thin eyebrows, and eyes that allegedly bore striking similarities with the masked suspect’s features seen in Nancy Guthrie’s doorbell camera footage.

Zack’s name and photos have since gone viral on social media, with users being convinced that he looked quite similar. One X user wrote, “I’m definitely convinced Zaidoun ‘Zack’ Jaghoub is the one on Nancy Guthrie’s porch. Just look at those eyes.” Another wrote, “Range Rover belonged to this guy. Zaidoun Zack Jaghoub.” A third user remarked, “The other guy was also detained, right? Name is Zaidoun “Zack” Jaghoub. Saw a post with his pic & they have been connected before in a different crime.”

How relevant are these claims? Was Zack Jaghoub really detained?

With the speculations gaining momentum every passing day, Parade recently reached out to the alleged “person of interest” himself. Yes, the publication connected with Zack Jaghoub to find out why he is suddenly at the centre of public scrutiny. However, the 40-year-old has completely denied any involvement in Nancy Guthrie’s kidnapping case. Calling out the internet for making baseless allegations, Jaghoub said:

“I’m gonna be honest with you. These people are stupid. They don’t have, like, a sure confirmation that Zack drove that Range Rover or owned that Range Rover. There’s no documents, there’s no papers. I’m not even inside the country… People are just listening to YouTubers or some people, that don’t know anything.”

Jaghoub says he hasn’t lived in the United States since 2019 and is currently residing in Jordan. Regarding the Range Rover connection, he confirmed that he previously worked at MG Motors, which is owned by friends of his. However, that car that’s been linked to him has no connection whatsoever. Speaking about how he randomly found himself in the middle of controversy, Jaghoub told the publisher:

“I know one thing, I slept on Friday, I woke up on Saturday. I found myself [with] thousands of people following me on Instagram, adding me on Facebook, they’re adding me on Snapchat for no reason. People sending me messages [saying] ‘you are guilty. You are this, you are dead’.”

According to Jaghoub, authorities have never contacted him. He also disputes claims that he owned, sold, or drove the Range Rover in question. He further denies rumors circulating online that he was involved in a shooting or had been detained. Mentioning the threats and harassments that are flooding his social media for no reason, he shared:

“I didn’t sell the car, I didn’t own the car. Nobody pulled me over. People saying that the sheriff pulled me over. There’s other people that said I killed myself, I shot myself inside a white van. I don’t know what the white van is. Still, until this minute, as I told you, they’re talking about me.”

Did the authorities identify Zack Jaghoub as a person of interest? 

Contrary to popular belief and new coverage across the nation, law enforcement agencies, including the Pima County Sheriff’s Department and the FBI,  have not named Jaghoub as a suspect or person of interest. Regarding what the authorities have actually said, however, it’s that Nancy Guthrie’s home should be treated like a crime scene, thanks to the tampered doorbell camera, her heart medicines and devices left behind, and more importantly, the blood found near the house’s entrance that matched her DNA. Multiple people, reportedly more than 20, have been detained and released in recent weeks, including individuals connected to other search warrants and vehicle seizures. However, no arrests have been made yet.

Nancy Guthrie was first reported missing on February 1, 2026. Investigators believe she was kidnapped from her home after surveillance footage captured a masked, armed man at her door around 1:47 a.m. The authorities have described that the suspect seems to be a male of approximately 5’9″ to 5’10” tall. He wore black gloves and carried a hiking pack. Likewise, some ransom demands have surfaced, asking for millions in Bitcoin. Although the authorities confirmed that at least one ransom communication was fake, leading to the sender’s arrest, other messages remain under investigation.
