The strained marriage of former NBA star, Dwight Howard and his wife rapper-entrepreneur, Amy Luciani, has become a public topic of discussion in the past few days. Although the couple tied the knot around a year ago in the early months of 2025, their relationship has become the center of a new, growing controversy with serious allegations of domestic fights and social media allegations. 

However, the marriage conflict did not end there as Dwight allegedly filed for separation in March 2026, hours after Amy posted emotional videos online accusing him of several troubling behaviors. As their strained relationship has continued to make headlines, new revelations about multiple cop visits to their home have surfaced online.

According to the new reports cited by TMZ, authorities were called to Dwight Howard and Amy Luciani’s mansion multiple times in Suwanee, Georgia. Sources alleged that cops arrived three separate times within a span of 14 days at their home, raising many questions. Meanwhile, the Gwinnett County Police Department’s spokesperson confirmed the same and revealed that officers responded to three incidents at the property. These calls were related to a suicide threat report, a domestic disturbance, and a theft complaint.

However, the police have not publicly revealed the exact details of the call. The authorities also did not reveal who made the calls or whether the incidents were related to anyone, leaving much ambiguity about the matter. Still, these multiple visits by law enforcement have raised further concerns about Dwight Howard and Amy Luciani’s deteriorating bond.

What led Dwight Howard to file for divorce from Amy Luciani?

According to the same news outlet, police visits coincided with the rising tensions between Dwight Howard and Amy Luciani were already escalating. According to media reports, the couple has been dealing with significant personal conflicts and public accusations, which later surfaced on social media. In fact, Amy shared multiple videos on the internet wherein she made multiple serious accusations against Dwight Howard related to substance abuse and how authorities came to their home frequently for family-related concerns.

Since these claims have gone viral, Dwight has not publicly responded to them. At the same time, police did not confirm the details about Amy’s statements. Things became more tense because it happened shortly before Dwight officially filed for divorce and ended his marriage in Georgia. He reportedly stated in the court documents that his marriage was “irretrievably broken.” Moreover, he asked the court to grant him exclusive use of their Georgia mansion, where the duo lives.

Interestingly, it is not the first time the couple had initiated divorce proceedings. Previously, filed to end their marriage within just two months in July 2025. However, the couple briefly reconciled. Yet, the new divorce filing suggests that the duo’s relationship has become more complicated, with both Dwight and Amy ready to separate. Meanwhile, the legal experts alleged that the case could become more complicated if these public accusations continue or if any official investigations into the reported incidents take place.
