Pop star, Madison Beer is set to step into a new creative era with her upcoming album, Locket. It is set to release on January 16, 2026. Along with the announcement, the singer has described it as her most personal project to date, which will feature a blend of themes such as nostalgia, emotion, and self-reflection. The name Locket itself symbolises treasured memories and emotional keepsakes. At the same time, the 25-year-old shared her official cover on Instagram, where she was seen holding a gold locket. It has immediately sparked fans’ curiosity about whether Madison will open up about her love life in the new album.

Madison Beer is known for emotional storytelling through her fans. In combination, when she called Locket her most personal project, fans are already speculating it the new album would include nods to her current romance with NFL star, Justin Herbert or her alleged ex-boyfriend, Nick Austin. The singer recently sat down for a chat on The Travis Mills Show. Beer explained that the album was inspired by personal memories and the tangible emotions tied to them. In her words:

“I knew I wanted it to be something very personal and tangible. It’s like every song is a memory, something you’d want to keep close.”

Although Madison did not mention anyone by name, her honesty about dealing with heartbreak and growth has left fans curious. Notably, one of the album’s singles, Bittersweet has already been dubbed a “breakup anthem” by fans. Madison has co-written and co-directed the music video for the song, fueling rumours that her past relationship might inspire some lyrics with influencer Nick Austin. However, Madison has chosen to keep her focus on the art rather than address the speculation directly. So, fans will have to wait till the release to get an answer. Sharing her plans on Bittersweet, Madison said:

“I think that I had to write about the intensity of my previous relationship. It was such a part of my every waking moment, the good days, the bad days, the break-up, so a lot of it really wrote itself.”

Beyond the music studio, Madison Beer has been openly supportive of her boyfriend, Los Angeles Chargers quarterback, Justin Herbert. The duo made headlines earlier in 2025 when she was seen cheering from the sidelines during the Chargers’ Week 5 game against the Washington Commanders. Cameras captured the two sharing a warm embrace before the game. A source told People that they have a genuine connection and are supporting each other’s busy careers. However, neither of the two has officially discussed the relationship in detail.
