One of these people is Cissy Jones, a Social Media Manager at popular clothing brand Pretty Little Thing, where she has worked in the social content team for five years. She has also claimed she also used to help create content for influencer Molly-Mae Hague, who used to work as a content director for the clothing brand.

Throughout her time at the company, Cissy have swore by some key strategies to create perfect photos and videos for different influencers, as well as their own company social media accounts.

In a video posted on her personal @cissyjonestwopoin TikTok account, Cissy went on to share on how she ensured top influencers and companies had the best content possibl;e, and it all comes down to your camera settings.

“A little help for anyone who doesn’t know what camera settings to have, this is the best! (Personally what I have found and learnt anyway!)” Cissy wrote in the caption of the post.

How to create good social media content

Explaining that she’s created social content and taken photos for the likes of Molly-Mae, Madison Bailey, Kehlani, and for brands like Shein and PLT, there are some settings you should change on your camera before starting.

She then went on to say that if you’re wanting to record a video, you should select “4K at 60fps (frames per second)”. She added that 120fps is a “dream” but uses a lot of storage. Instead, she said she prefers to use 60fps and then import into the CapCut app. There, you can increases the quality of the video if needed.

Cissy added: “Be careful you don’t go too high quality on IPhone as sometimes TikTok doesn’t support this (such as the HD button on capcut, TikTok dislikes this)!

“If you wonder why your TikToks go blurry when you upload, your quality is likely too high for TikTok unfortunately (IG love any quality and that platform is fine)!”

Cissy also explained that on your video camera settings, you should only ever have the “PAL formats” button selected if your camera is “flicking”, typically when there are heavy lights or spot lights.

However, she always has the ‘Enhanced Stabilisation’ feature on, which helps stabilising the video you’re taking, making it less shaky.

In a second post, Cissy also went on to share her top strategies that helped her grow the Pretty Little Thing social media accounts. This included posting at ideal times every day, and only posting the kind of content you’d want to watch yourself – including not creating ads for TikTok, unless it was for a product available in TikTok shop, as it won’t gain engagement from viewers.
