Pub dining$$

Laundy Hotels has more than 20 venues in its growing pub portfolio, and this sprawling harbourside destination is one of the group’s glitzier offerings. The ground-level bistro isn’t bad, but you really want to book a table for crudo at Arturo’s rooftop bar. Striped cushions, terracotta and frilly umbrellas mean the place looks more like Amalfi than Woolloomooloo.

Best for: Sinking into a rooftop couch with something Aperol-based.
