BENGALURU: An unidentified youth standing motion in scorching sun with subtle movements was caught on camera by a passer-by on road near a college in Bagalur of Bengaluru city and the video was widely circulated on social networking site leading to suspicion that the youth would have been under the influence of ‘Zombie’ (Xylazine) drug that leaves a user stand frozen for hours unmindful of happenings around him.
Such youths in particular standing motionless in public have been reported in Bihar and Chandigarh before a youth was shot standing motionless on road in Bengaluru city, a first of its kind.
However, the date of the video which caught a youth motionless on a busy road was not known immediately while sources said the video could have been recorded on Tuesday and circulated on Wednesday.
A 50-second video clip circulated showed an unidentified youth stood motionless and often wobbled while vehicles passed to and fro on the road. The video in circulation has come under scanner from police to ascertain the use of dangerous ‘Xylazine.’
Wanting stern action from the police, onliners expressed serious concern over Bengaluru becoming “Udta Bengaluru” and observed the youth standing motionless as a “serious warning for the city.”
