وأكد مكتب المدعي العام أن مرشدين سياحيين وموظفين اثنين في اللوفر وشخص آخر يشتبه في تنظيمهم عملية الاحتيال كانوا من بين التسعة الذين جرى القبض عليهم، ومن المقرر أن يمثل المشتبه بهم أمام قاض اليوم الجمعة.

ويعتقد محققون أن الاحتيال كان مستمرًا منذ ما يربو على 10 سنوات.
ويقدّر متحف اللوفر حجم الضرر الناجم عن الاحتيال أكثر من 10 ملايين يورو.
