وأوضح بيان لوزارة الدفاع الجزائرية أن الطائرة من نوع بيتش كرافت 1900 كانت في مهمة عمل، وعلى متنها طاقم يتكوّن من ستة أفراد، حيث أسفر الحادث عن مصرع عسكريين اثنين وإصابة بقية أفراد الطاقم.
وأشار البيان إلى أن الجهات المختصة فتحت تحقيقًا لمعرفة أسباب الحادث وملابساته.
