وأشار إلى أنّ زلزالًا بقوة 5.12 درجة على مقياس ريختر، على بُعد (466) كيلومترًا ضرب شمال غرب مدينة مرسى مطروح المصرية.

زلازل مصر

وأوضح أن الزلزال وقع في الساعة الثانية عشرة وسبع وثلاثين دقيقة وتسع وعشرين ثانية مساءً، على خط عرض (34.71) شمالًا، وخط طول (24.25) شرقًا، وعلى عمق (44.80) كم.
وأشار إلى أنه لم يرد للمعهد ما يفيد بالشعور بالهزة أو وقوع أي خسائر في الأرواح و الممتلكات.
