وذكرت وزارة الخارجية الكويتية -في بيان نشرته وكالة الأنباء الكويتية (كونا)- أن هذا الاعتداء يعد استمرارًا لسلسلة الانتهاكات الصارخة للقانون الدولي وقرارات مجلس الأمن ذات الصلة، ولا سيما القرار رقم 2817، بما يقوض الأمن والاستقرار الإقليمي.
وأكدت الوزارة وقوفها إلى جانب المملكة العربية السعودية في كل ما تتخذه من إجراءات لحفظ أمنها واستقرارها، وضمان سلامة أراضيها.
