ذكرت هيئة المسح الجيولوجي الأمريكية، أن زلزالين ضربا شمال شرق أفغانستان اليوم السبت، دون ورود تقارير فورية عن وقوع إصابات أو أضرار.
وضرب الزلزال الأول، الذي بلغت قوته 5.3 درجات على مقياس ريختر وعلى عمق نحو 199 كيلومترًا، ويبعد نحو 27 كيلومترًا جنوب منطقة جورم في مقاطعة بدخشان.

زلازل مستمرة

وأضافت الهيئة، تبع ذلك بعد فترة وجيزة زلزال ثان بقوة 4.5 درجات، وضرب منطقة على بعد 34 كيلومترًا تقريبًا من جورم وعلى عمق نحو 186 كيلومترًا.
وأفاد سكان العاصمة كابول بأنهم شعروا بالهزات في أجزاء من المدينة؛ ما أثار قلقًا لفترة قصيرة، لكن لم تسجّل أي حالة ذعر أو اضطراب.
وتتعرض أفغانستان للزلازل بسبب موقعها على طول خطوط الصدع التكتونية الرئيسة، وخاصة في المناطق الجبلية الشمالية الشرقية، مثل بدخشان.
