يأتي ذلك تزامنًا مع يوم عرفة المبارك، وسط مشاركة 10 متطوعًا لخدمة المسافرين والصائمين، وتعزيز روح العمل التطوعي والمجتمعي في مشهدٍ يجسد قيم التكافل والعطاء، في يومٍ من أعظم أيام الله.
مبادرة (افطر معنا)
وقال عبدالله العمر، مشرف مبادرة (افطر معنا) إن فريق العيون التطوعي التابع لجمعية العيون التطوعية، بالشراكة مع جمعية الدعوة والإرشاد وتوعية الجاليات بمدينة العيون، أطلق مبادرة «افطر معنا» للعام الثاني على التوالي في هذا اليوم، يوم عرفة المبارك 1447هـ.
وأشار إلى تجهيز أكثر من ألف وجبة بمشاركة أكثر من 15 متطوعًا، لافتًا إلى إعداد الوجبات في مقر الفريق ومن ثم توزيعها بمدخل مدينة العيون للمتجه على طريق الظهران والمتجه على طريق المبرز والهفوف.

خدمة المسافرين والصائمين
وبيّن أن هذه المبادرة تأتي امتدادًا لرسالة العطاء والتطوع وخدمة المسافرين والصائمين، وسط جهود كبيرة يبذلها المتطوعون، الذين سخّروا أوقاتهم وجهودهم لإنجاح المبادرة، في يوم عرفة.
