East Hampton has moved into the top spot in this week’s Class M/S girls soccer coaches poll.
The Bellringers took over at No. 1 after Foran, the No. 1 team the first two weeks of the poll, lost to Lauralton Hall. Foran, last year’s Class M state champion, dropped to No. 4.

East Hampton garnered seven first-place votes while No. 2 Barlow has five. Foran kept three votes this week. Lewis Mills is third, Granby is fifth and Tolland and Lauralton Hall entered the top 10 this week at sixth and seventh, respectively. Holy Cross received a first-place vote despite being in the 12th spot.
Greenwich remains No. 1 in the Class LL/L poll, but the gap has closed against Amity, the new No. 2 team. St. Joseph dropped to No. 3, followed by Mercy and Ridgefield.
Seven teams received first-place votes from the total of 16 voters: Greenwich, Amity, St. Joseph, Mercy, Ridgefield, Simsbury and Notre Dame Prep.
