With just one more tournament to go until the second major of the season, a good chunk of the top players on the PGA Tour head to Quail Hollow for the 2026 Truist Championship.
Quail Hollow is widely considered one of the most challenging regular tests on the PGA Tour circuit, and the Truist (formerly the Wells Fargo) has been deemed a Signature Event, so we’ll be treated to an elite field this week.
With Scottie Scheffler skipping the trip, Rory McIlroy tops the odds at FanDuel Sportsbook as a +600 favorite.
This is McIlroy’s kind of track, and he’s proven that with a pair of wins (2021 and 2024) among a smattering of top-10 finishes over the last decade.
Cam Young, fresh off his second win of the season at the Cadillac Championship, is the second favorite at +950. The Westchester native is on a Scheffler-esque run of form with two wins, four top-3 finishes, and five top-10s in his last six starts.
Xander Schauffele (10/1), Matt Fitzpatrick (15/1), and Ludvig Aberg (16/1) round out the top five on the betting board.
While most of the recent winners at Quail Hollow are household names like McIlroy, Scheffler, Justin Thomas, and Jason Day, this course regularly produces a leaderboard littered with long shots.
With that in mind, we’ll pepper a few different parts of the betting board and hope we get someone in contention on Sunday.
2026 Truist Championship odds, prediction
Tommy Fleetwood (24/1, bet365)
It didn’t go our way with Fleetwood last week, but a strong showing on Sunday budged him into the top 25, and we’ll buy into that momentum as the Merseysider heads to a place where he’s had some success.
Fleetwood has a T5 and another pair of top-15 finishes in his last four trips to Quail Hollow, and his big-picture form remains splendid with four top-10 finishes in eight PGA Tour starts in 2026.
His most recent results aren’t up to the standard of McIlroy and Young, but the flipside of that is we’re getting one of the best players in this field at a much more palatable price.
Corey Conners (80/1, FanDuel)
Inconsistency has been the theme for Conners this season, but the good news is that he’s shown a penchant for getting his game together on difficult tracks.
Conners’ two best performances this season came at THE PLAYERS and the Valspar Championship, a pair of tournaments played at grueling courses that reward ball-striking above all else.
Quail Hollow is another place that fits that bill, and Conners has answered the challenge with an average finishing position of 13.3 over his last three trips.

Taylor Pendrith (120/1, bet365)
Pendrith can absolutely wallop the ball off the tee, and that has come in handy for the Canadian at Quail Hollow.
Pendrith finished T5 here at last year’s PGA Championship, giving him a pair of top-10 finishes in three career trips to this iconic track.
His current form isn’t much to write home about, but it’s hard to ignore the triple-digit price on a player that may be built for this course.
Jhonattan Vegas (500/1, FanDuel)
One of the most boom-or-bust players on the PGA Tour, Vegas is another bomber off the tee that seemingly has the right skillset to outrun his odds at Quail Hollow.
The Venezuelan has two top-10 finishes in his last three trips to this course, including a fifth-place finish at last year’s PGA Championship alongside Pendrith, and the four-time PGA Tour winner is no stranger to popping up on leaderboards out of nowhere, like he did this year at the Arnold Palmer and Houston Open.
