Up next for the Jacksonville Jaguars is a Week 2 matchup with the Denver Broncos.
While we know that Trevor Lawrence‘s play will go a long way in determining how well the Jaguars perform on Sunday, as will Josh Hines-Allen and other star players, there are several others whose play can have a major impact on the outcome.

Here is a look at who those players are and why they will need to play well.
G Emmanuel Pregnon
Pregnon had a strong showing in his NFL debut last week, but in Week 2, he faces a tough matchup against the Broncos‘ Zach Allen. Last season, Allen led all defensive tackles with 73 quarterback pressures. Denver could look for opportunities to get the disruptive veteran pass rusher matched up on the Jaguars’ rookie.
Lining up across from Hunter and/or Brown will be Jaylen Waddle, one of the NFL’s more dynamic wide receivers. During his tenure with Miami, Waddle was a go-to target and surpassed the 1,000-yard mark in three of his five seasons with the Dolphins. Waddle’s impact was minimized last week, but one would think that the Broncos would be searching for ways to get him the ball.

RB Bhayshul Tuten
The Broncos had a good run defense last season, but gave up a lot of yards to the Chiefs in Week 1. Tuten’s ability to find success on the ground will do wonders for the Jacksonville offense. Doing so will keep Jacksonville ahead of the sticks and out of predictable passing situations.
This then opens up the playbook for Liam Coen and the pass game for Trevor Lawrence. An already potent Jaguars offense becomes more difficult to defend when the run and pass games can work together.
