In the first incident, a woman, identified as Shanti Bai of Jillapur village in Gorakhpur area falling under Kurei forest circle in Seoni district, was attacked and killed by a tiger when she was busy in agriculture operation in her farmland late on Sunday, a local forest officer said on Monday.

Environmental activist Ajey Dubey on Monday expressed serious concern over the spurt in the incidents of wild animal- human conflict in the reserve forests in the state, leading to deaths of forest dwellers.
