Ohio bull rider was killed as the animal threw him off and stomped on his chest
On the ill-fated day, 35-year-old Ohio bull rider Jason Blake Saylor rode his bull as usual, but the animal suddenly tossed him off its back and onto the ground in the middle of a rodeo. The fallen and injured Jason was stepped on the chest or kicked by the bull at the Fox Hollow Stables in Waynesville, according to WXIX-TV. During the incident, he wore a chest guard; however, it proved useless against the animal’s pressure and weight.
Jason sustained fatal injuries and succumbed to them shortly after. First responders treated the bull rider at the scene before transporting him to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead, and chest injury was declared the cause. Police are investigating the death as a fatal accident. It hasn’t been clear yet as to what triggered the animal to throw the rider with a jolt and kill him.
