52 Pan Shop Owners Booked in Karimnagar Drive

Adilabad: Police conducted inspections at pan shops across the Karimnagar Commissionerate limits on Friday as part of a drive against the sale of drugs and banned tobacco products.
The checks were carried out at pan shops located near schools, colleges and within the vicinity of educational institutions.
Karimnagar Police Commissioner Gaush Alam said the initiative was aimed at preventing youth from falling prey to drugs, tobacco and other prohibited substances.
Police inspected 99 pan shops during the drive and registered cases against 52 shop owners for selling gutka, banned tobacco products and cigarettes.
