Nalgonda: A 60-year-old farmer died after being charred in a fire that broke out in his agricultural field at NG Kothapalle village in Shaligouraram mandal of Nalgonda district on Thursday. The deceased was identified as Nunemunthala Sathaiah, a resident of the village.
According to family members, Sathaiah went to his fields around 11.45 am and set fire to paddy stubble. Due to prevailing wind and heat conditions, the fire spread rapidly across nearly 10 acres. Family members later found him dead in the field around 1.30 pm.
