His 42-year-old wife, Hilaria Baldwin shared her lighthearted response to Alec’s wish to embrace fatherhood again with Us Weekly in October 2026 at the Gala of the Stars event benefiting Dancers Against Cancer.
Hilaria mentioned Alec’s love for babies and jovially stated that her ‘shop’ for baby production has closed. She added that she was glad Alec gets to be around more kids, as his 31-year-old daughter, Ireland has one and is on the way to welcoming another baby. In Hilaria Baldwin’s words:
“Alec loves babies. Alec would have more babies if I let them. I’m glad that Ireland’s having them because I’m like, ‘Um, this shop is closed.'”
Alec’s better half said that she is “so excited” to add another grandchild to the Baldwin family. She also praised Ireland as a “natural” and hands-on mother, saying, “She’s such a good mom.” Hilaria added that Ireland’s firstborn, Holland “is like the best, cutest little thing, and so I’m just excited for the next baby.” Ireland welcomed her daughter, Holland, with boyfriend and musician RAC (real name André Allen Anjos) in May 2023.
The couple announced they were expecting their second child in May 2026 by posting a joint Instagram video. Hilaria also shared that she and Ireland exchange advice on parenthood and said, “I feel like I ask just as much advice from her as she asks from me. She just really has such a good compass. Definitely, way more than I did when I was a first-time mom.”
Hilaria added, “Every once in a while, I’m like, ‘Hey, you know what? This nebulizer worked for me’ when Holland is sick or something like that.” It shows that her bond with Ireland is as beautiful as with her own kids- daughters, Carmen, 13, María, 5, and Ilaria, 4, and sons, Rafael, 11, Leonardo, 10, Romeo, 8, and Eduardo, 6.
