‘South Park’ Fans Demand ‘Justice for Towelie’ After New Teaser Drops

Following a yet-to-be-explained two-day delay, the latest episode of South Park is scheduled to drop on Friday night, no doubt thrilling all the fans not cool enough to get invited to a single Halloween party this year.

To prove that the episode does, in fact, exist, Comedy Central recently released a teaser for “The Woman in the Hat,” in which we see that a cash-strapped Randy Marsh is forced to move his family into his father’s retirement home because they “can’t afford a house.”

Also, Donald Trump and his administration, including the Nosferatu-coded Stephen Miller, are busy holding some kind of seance in the White House to communicate with a spectral intruder. Although we also learn that this mysterious “entity” left behind a trail of “rectoplasm” consisting of “54 percent Filet-O-Fish sandwich,” implying that the “ghost” may just be President Trump’s McDonald’s-filled feces.

We’ll have to wait and see.

But one moment in the trailer proved to be particularly upsetting to fans. In the spot’s final moments, we see a nude Trump in his golden bathroom, aggressively drying his taint with Towelie, seemingly unaware of the sentient Tynacorp creation’s pained shrieks.

Towelie, as you may recall, was gifted to the President by Randy back in Episode Three of Season 27, “Sickofancy.” After the Return of the Jedi-esque offering, Towelie ended up in Trump and Satan’s master bathroom, and was seemingly used to clean up the worst stains imaginable.

In retrospect, the scene in which Towelie examines bronze depictions of Trump’s microscopic junk may have been foreshadowing.

Towelie is famously a polarizing character within the South Park fandom. But even those who found Towelie irritating likely didn’t want to see him suffering to this degree. In the YouTube comment section for the teaser, fans lamented Towelie’s fate.

“WTF Matt and Trey!? Why would you do that to poor Towlie,” one person asked.

“Justice for Towelie,” another posted.

“Why’d they gotta do Towelie like that,” someone else complained.

And more than one commenter simply wrote, “Poor Towelie.”

If Towelie somehow ends up saving America by the end of the season, haters owe him an apology.
