Matt Rife Declares That Anyone Who Gets Offended By His Jokes Is A ‘F—ing R——’

In this especially juvenile game of Mad Libs, comedy fans get to guess which slur Matt Rife used to describe anyone who isn’t delighted by his horny mom crowdwork.

Despite his best efforts, TikTok superstar and top-grossing touring comedian Rife never quite pulled off his heel-turn from mom-beloved social media darling to edgy Manosphere stud. After Rife opened his 2023 Netflix special Natural Selection with a decidedly unoriginal joke about domestic violence, Rife attempted to use the blowback he received from certain members of his mostly-female audience as a catalyst for a dramatic rebrand, mocking his critics with equally overdone jokes about the mentally disabled and crying to alt-right thought leader Jordan Peterson about his persecution.

Sadly for Rife, the whole boundary-pushing bad-boy arc didn’t stick, and, for his next special, Rife had to return to his bread-and-butter with a full hour of crowdwork, despite the literal mic drop at the end Natural Selection suggesting that Rife was done centering his career around his viral interactions with middle-aged white women who are begging to bang him.

Nevertheless, during a recent performance at the Laugh Factory in Los Angeles, Rife continued to rage against critics of his supposedly dark sense of humor while revealing that, in the two years since he advised his haters to purchase a special needs helmet to protect themselves from his dangerously daring material, he still hasnt come up with a second burn.

At the top of the Laugh Factory performance, which A-listers Sydney Sweeney and Scooter Braun allegedly attended, Rife laid down some ground rules to show the crowd of flushed 40-somethings that this wasnt their great-grandmas stand-up show, declaring, “Anyone who gets offended by a joke in a comedy club is a fucking r—–.”

This long after Natural Selection nearly turned Rife into the canceled comedy martyr that he clearly wants to be, it seems unlikely that anyone who would attend one of his many sold-out shows could ever be turned off by the most played-out curse word in the conservative comedy community. Even before Rifes meteoric rise from Wild ‘n Out cast member to TikTok crowdwork king, less chiseled and more reviled comedians were dropping r-bombs on the Kill Tony stage every single Monday night without fail.

Rife seems to be raging against politically correct pushback that simply isnt there when he sells out arenas across the country — his current tour, Stay Golden, has been breaking attendance records on the way to earning Rife an estimated $50 million, and I sincerely doubt that anyone dropping three figures to see the pretty boy with a potty mouth will be left aghast by his middle-school-lunch-table attempts at shock humor.

Perhaps Rife is still bitter about the brief backlash he suffered following Natural Selection. Maybe he hasnt given up on becoming a Joe-Rogan-adjacent dude-bro comedian who gets mentioned in the same sentence as other, better Manosphere comics like Shane Gillis. Or maybe Rife is starting to get the sense that the moms like it when he talks dirty to them.
