Kurnool: The annual Vasanthotsavams were celebrated with religious fervour at the renowned Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple at Ahobilam in Allagadda mandal of Nandyal district.
On Wednesday, the deities Prahlada Varada Swamy along with Sridevi and Bhudevi were ceremoniously placed in the Vasanthotsavam mandapam, where special abhishekam was performed with panchamrutham. The idols were anointed with turmeric, sandalwood paste and camphor, followed by dhoopa, deepa offerings and maha mangala harathi.
The presiding deity was later beautifully adorned and taken out in a procession on Aswa Vahanam along the temple streets amid chanting of hymns by devotees.
The celebrations concluded with theertha snanam in the temple pushkarini, marking the end of the festival on a devotional note.
