The trailer for Focker-In-Law has been officially released. Alongside the Fockers, Ben Stiller, Robert De Niro, Skyler Gisondo, Teri Polo and more, the cast now comprises Ariana Grande.
For those unaware, Fockers is a popular comedy trilogy starring Ben Stiller as Greg Focker and Robert De Niro as his father-in-law, Jack Byrnes. It is about the chaotic and awkward cultural clashes between their families. The series includes Meet the Parents (2000), Meet the Fockers (2004), and Little Fockers (2010), with the fourth film, Focker-in-Law, scheduled for Thanksgiving 2026.
The trailer shows Ariana’s Olivia Jones meeting Skyler Gisondo, aka Henry’s family. While she gets along with the rest of the family, trouble begins when Henry’s father Greg begins to suspect her actions. So much so, he ends up calling her a master manipulator. The entire trailer consists of scenes where Olivia and Greg are at loggerheads. While Greg suspects Olivia, she goes one step ahead to prove him wrong every time.
Some of the scenes also bring back the original charm of the Meet The Parents movies. They show family bonding, chaos between Jack and Greg and the hilarious moments during get-togethers.
The trailer has been released with the caption, “This November, comedy icon and Emmy winner Ben Stiller and two-time Oscar winner Robert De Niro reunite, joined by Grammy winner and Oscar nominee Ariana Grande, in Focker-In-Law, a new chapter in the blockbuster Meet the Parents franchise.”
The new film is written and directed by John Hamburg. He also co-wrote the three previous Meet the Parents films. It is produced by Jane Rosenthal and Robert De Niro for Tribeca Productions, Ben Stiller and John Lesher for Red Hour Films, Jay Roach for Delirious Media and John Hamburg for Particular Pictures.
