Now, Kalyani’s mom, Lissy, herself clarified about the following through a social media interaction. On April 15, 2026, Lissy took to her Instagram handle and shared a carousel featuring some wholesome pictures. Along with the pictures, Lissy wished her followers prosperity, health and happiness on the Malayalam New Year, Vishu. Sharing excitement about Kalyani and Pranav’s alleged marriage, one user wrote, “Kalyani Pranav marriage waiting.” Shutting down the marriage rumours, Lissy replied:

“False news.”

Earlier, in an interview with Vanita, Kalyani Priyadarshan opened up about her bond with her Hridayam co-star, Pranav Mohanlal. Kalyani clarified that their relationship was always rooted in friendship and family ties rather than romance. The Lokah fame shared that she and Pranav were childhood friends. Kalyani stated that she lovingly called Pranav ‘Appu’. She added that when Pranav studied in Ootty, they used to meet only during vacations. Kalyani mentioned that she and Pranav shared a sibling bond. She was quoted as saying:

“We are childhood friends. We were close with the families of IV Sasi uncle, Lal uncle and Suresh uncle. Since Appu studied in Ootty, we used to meet each other only during vacations. But that would usually be on the sets of some film. Appu, Keerthi, Ani and Chandu were also part of my circle. However, with Appu, I shared a sibling bond. If you look at our old photographs, I think I have more photos with Appu than my own brother. Whenever he came to Chennai, I would introduce him as my cousin to my friends as it was complicated to explain our relationship.”

According to Manorama News, in an interview, director, Alleppey Ashraf opened up about Kalyani Priyadarshan and Pranav Mohanlal’s bond. Alleppey shared that people were curious to know whether Priyadarshan’s daughter, Kalyani, is all set to marry Mohanlal’s son, Pranav, so he directly asked Kalyani’s mom, Lissy, about the same. The filmmaker shared that Lissy told him both Kalyani and Pranav shared a brother-sister bond since childhood. She also revealed that Kalyani has not been in love with anyone so far. Alleppey was quoted as saying:

“Some people are curious to know whether Kalyani will marry Mohanlal’s son Pranav. Many may wish for it, and many may believe it. I directly asked Lissy about this. Lissy said, ‘Ashraf ikka, if they had such a wish, wouldn’t it be something that would make both families happy? But there is no such relationship between them. They have shared a brother-sister bond since childhood. Appu has been like a hero to all of them-he would climb trees, jump over walls, and was a hero figure among the kids. Kalyani has not been in love with anyone so far. I’m sure of that.'”
