The WSK Promotion programme enters the heart of its calendar this weekend, fresh from the WSK Super Master Series, which, across its five rounds, kickstarted the 2026 season and crowned the season’s first international karting champions.
Now, the spotlight shifts to Lonato for the second round of the WSK Euro Series, which picks up from the first round at the Leopard Circuit in Viterbo in February. All categories will be in action, ranging from the youth classes including MINI Under 10, MINI Gr.3, OK-N Junior and OKJunior, to the high-performance OK-N, OK, and KZ2.
About 300 drivers in Lonato
The second round, which culminates today at the iconic South Garda Karting circuit, carries all the traits of a major international event.
About 300 drivers from around the world are expected over the weekend, including the leaders who dominated the opening round in Viterbo under variable weather conditions.
While the standings after the first race already point toward the main favourites for the title ahead of the grand finale in July at Cremona, new protagonists could very well break into the fight for the top positions.

KZ2: Van Werven is the winner in Viterbo
In Viterbo, the KZ2 victory went to Dutchman Dion Van Werven (Sodikart – Sodikart/TM Kart/LeCont), while his team-mate Max Orlov – winner of the WSK Super Master Series – finished third after losing second place due to a penalty. The runner-up spot was inherited by another Sodi driver, Britain’s Jenson Graham.

OK: Firhand is the first leader leader
Standing on the top step of the podium in the first round of the championship was Qarrar Firhand (Ward Racing – Parolin/TM Kart/LeCont), with the Indonesian driver also taking the lead in the standings. In the final, he was followed by his team-mate, the Spaniard Benjamin Manach, and by fellow Spaniard Bosco Arias (Ricky Flynn Motorsport – LN Kart/TM Kart).

OKJ: Orlando wins under the rain
Michele Orlando (Team DR – DR/Modena Engines/Vega) emerged victorious in the heavy rain of the Viterbo final in OKJ. Second place was inherited by the Slovakian Alex Molota (Hagemann Racing – Exprit/TM Kart) following a penalty hit Daniel Miron Lorente (KR/Iame). Third place went to the Ukrainian Vsevolod Osadchyi-Suslovskyi (Koski Motorsport – KR/Iame).

2nd Orlando Michele (ITA), 86 points
3rd Osadchyi-Suslovskyi Vsevolod (UKR), 63 points
OK-N: Ferrari wins the first act
In OK-N, the Italian Lamberto Ferrari (Monster K Factory – Monster K/TM Kart/Vega) secured the victory in the first round of the championship following a strong duel with Andrea Giudice (Marra 61 – KR/Iame). The Colombian Amador Martinez Saenz (MP Academy Gamoto – Henza/TM Kart) finished third.

OK-NJ: Schniegenberg always on top
The American Colton Schniegenberg (Ward Racing – Parolin/TM Kart/Vega) remained at the top of the category throughout the Viterbo round, winning the final ahead of two Modena Kart drivers on Parolin-TM Kart machinery: Greece’s Ioannis Kolovos and Sweden’s Elton Hedfors.

MINI Gr.3: Mair dominates, but the classification is sub judice
Britain’s Alfie Richard Mair (Tony Kart Racing Team – Tony Kart/Vortex/Vega) dominated the MINI Gr.3 category in Viterbo. Finishing behind him were the American Wynn Godschalk (Kidix-KR/Iame) and Moroccan Nahyl El Gahoudi (BabyRace – Parolin/Iame). A technical appeal filed against Godschalk means the official standings currently remain sub judice.

1st Mair Alfie Richard (GBR), 111 points
2nd Godschalk Wynn (USA), 77 points
3rd Steindal Theo (NOR), 70 points
MINI U10: Miras leads the pack
Sasha Miras Y Munoz (BabyRace – Parolin-Iame-Vega) proved uncatchable for his rivals. In the Viterbo Final, the Franco-Spanish driver finished ahead of American Zayne Burgess (Parolin Motorsport – Parolin/TM Kart) and the Dutchman Denver Bos (Kidix – KR/Iame), who completed an impressive comeback of 14 positions.

1st Miras Y Munoz Sasha (ESP), 111 points
2nd Burgess Zayne (USA), 69 points
3rd Weytjens Oliver (ESP), 49 points
After this weekend’s round in Lonato, the next WSK Euro Series round will take place on 8-11 July at Cremona in Italy.
