The 61st Miss India was hosted at the Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, on April 18, 2026. And it was Goan beauty, Sadhvi Sail, who took home the crown with her empowering answer and a personality that stood out from the rest. It was a glorious moment for Sadhvi as she represented the scenic town of Goa.
Who is Sadhvi Sail, the Femina Miss India World 2026?
Sadhvi Sail is a young diva who hails from Goa. She is a graduate of UBC Economics and International Relations. She hails from a close-knit Goan community, where life was simpler and had quieter, more joyful days with shared meals and lovely conversation. This helped shape Sadhvi’s journey into a gorgeous person inside and out.

Talking about her work, she has been more interested in economics and learning about international relations, which shows her curiosity to understand world dynamics. However, Sadhvi has suffered her share of challenges. She had a modest upbringing and said her mindset was the biggest hurdle in her journey. She added that she would often get swayed by the accomplishments of others, which would often make her doubt herself and question her own potential and dreams.

However, Sadhvi’s life transformed when she changed the way she thought about life and herself and worked on her inner self. She added that she realised that it was important to root the loudest for others and celebrate their accomplishments rather than compare each other. She said:
“Hailing from a modest town and then plunged into a global arena abroad, my own mindset was my greatest hurdle. The dazzling accomplishments of others often cast a shadow of self-doubt, making me question my own potential and the audacity of my dreams. But a shift occurred when I reframed my inner dialogue. It taught me the importance of genuinely supporting and celebrating other women rather than comparing myself to them.”

For Sadhvi, representing India is the most important. For her, Miss India is more than just a title as she thinks it is part of her transformative journey. As she donned the sash, Sadhvi revealed what winning the crown meant to her. She was quoted as saying:

“Representing India means carrying forward its spirit of resilience and perseverance. It means standing tall despite challenges and moving forward with determination. And above all, it means representing my country with integrity, strength and heart.”
Sadhvi Sail’s winning answer
Talking about the answer that made her win the crown was all about instant fame. She was asked whether ‘instant fame’ is better than making an impact. To this, Sadhvi confidently asserted that to her, impact is more important than instant fame. She stated that touching the lives of many is more necessary than just short-term fame. She was quoted as saying:
“I believe it is very important to be impactful because then you get to touch the lives of so many. Being here in this stadium today, we can see sir himself has touched so many lives of so many people. It is not mere influence; it is truly just standing for others. And helping them to get forward. So I don’t think visibility is more important than creating an impact then giving a chance or bringing a smile on somebody’s face and that’s my answer.”
A few hours after winning the crown, Sadhvi Sail called her father back at her home, and it was no less than a teary-eyed moment between the two. Her father couldn’t believe while Sadhvi couldn’t express her state of mind.
