We have a busy day’s racing on Tuesday with action from Ffos Las, Wolverhampton and Yarmouth, live on Sky Sports Racing…
4.38 Ffos Las – Crystal Island features for Nicky Henderson
A field of 12 go to post in the opener at Ffos Las on Tuesday in the South West Rail Solutions Ltd Novices’ Hurdle.
Nicky Henderson saddles Crystal Island here who was impressive on stable debut at Ascot in December and will be looking to build on that performance and maintain his unbeaten record under rules.
Ben Pauling and Ben Jones team up with Uptown Dandy who was successful over today’s course and distance when last seen. The consistent six-year-old has only finished outside the top three once from seven career runs and another bold show will be expected.
Kings Champion failed to justify odds-on favouritism when last seen in February having ran well for a long way before fading in testing conditions. He now returns on better ground and Olly Murphy will be hoping the step up in trip will help this gelding record a second career win.
Rathkenny and Home Made Hero are others to note, as is Fairye Forth on his second start for Rebecca Curtis.
4.55 Yarmouth – Philanthropist and Miletus headline field of 12
A competitive field of twelve go to post in the penultimate race at Yarmouth on Tuesday in the AKS Skip Hire Services Handicap over seven-furlongs.
Philanthropist is an intriguing runner for James Fanshawe who after a number of below par performances is now back down to his last winning mark. The four-year-old also goes in first-time cheekpieces today and is one to keep an eye on.
Miletus has had a habit of finishing second recently and trainer James Keane will be hoping his five-year-old can go one better today with the help of a first-time hood.
William Stone’s Dashing Dick had a successful end to last year’s campaign when justifying favouritism at Newmarket and the eight-year-old steps back up to seven-furlongs here in pursuit of a sixth career win.
Three-time course winner Gorgeous Mr George will begin his 2026 campaign here over a course and distance he has been successful twice already but Dylan Cunha’s four-year-old is yet to win off a mark in the 70s.
Documenting for Kevin Frost, Rogue Allegiance for Jack Jones and Harry Davies’ mount Shimmering Spin in first time cheek-pieces are others to note.
6.00 Wolverhampton – In-form Midnight Call seeks another success
Seven will contest the Get Raceday Ready Handicap over the minimum trip at Wolverhampton on Tuesday and Tony Carroll’s Midnight Call will seek further success to add to his good form of late.
The daughter of Caravaggio has recorded five wins from her last eight runs, including three successes over this track and trip. The five-year-old mare does however now need to defy a career high mark due to her success a couple weeks ago.
Previous course and distance winner Shalaa Asker has been in a good run of form recently with a number of wins and placed efforts coming this winter and Rob Hornby is back in the saddle here.
Binadham is an intriguing runner for Kevin Philippart De Foy who finished sixth in the Norfolk Stakes during his two-year-old campaign and has finished third on both starts at Dunstall Park. He now goes in first-time cheekpieces as he seeks a first win since his debut.
Em Four for Saffie and Jamie Osborne and Diomed Spirit for Stuart Williams are others to keep an eye on.
