8 New Weekly Specials From Twin Cities Okayed

Hyderabad:Union coal and mines minister G. Kishan Reddy on Tuesday announced that the railway ministry has approved eight new weekly special trains from stations in the twin cities, boosting passenger connectivity. The decision followed his discussions with railway minister Ashwini Vaishnaw.

Kishan Reddy thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for addressing long‑standing demands of passengers. He hailed the move as a major relief for devotees and long‑distance passengers.

The trains will depart from Kacheguda, Charlapalli and Hyderabad (Nampally), serving pilgrims to Tirupati and Tiruchanur in Andhra Pradesh, and travellers to Sri Ganganagar and Jaipur in Rajasthan, and Bhubaneswar in Odisha. Five of the services are targeted at Tirupati–Tiruchanur routes.

New services:

Train Nos. 17067/17068: Charlapalli–Bhubaneswar, Mondays 6.10 pm, from May 5.

Train Nos. 17047/17048: Charlapalli–Tiruchanur, Wednesdays 6.55 pm, from May 7.

Train Nos. 17059/17060: Charlapalli–Tiruchanur, Sundays 9.15 pm, from May 11.

Train Nos. 17441/17442: Charlapalli–Tirupati, Wednesdays 9.20 pm, from May 14.

Train Nos. 17443/17444: Charlapalli–Tirupati, Fridays 4.20 pm, from May 15.

Train Nos. 17607/17608: Kacheguda–Tiruchanur, Thursdays 9.30 pm, from May 15.

Train Nos. 17601/17602: Kacheguda–Sri Ganganagar, Saturdays 10 pm, from July 14.

Train Nos. 17079/17080: Nampally–Jaipur, Fridays 7.50 pm, date to be announced.
