Victoria Beckham discussed her “pretty challenging year” as she admitted she is always focused on protecting her kids amid a fallout with eldest son Brooklyn
Victoria Beckham has candidly opened up on a “pretty challenging year” with husband David Beckham. The pair have been embroiled in a family feud after son Brooklyn shared a scathing social media post criticising the clan. Their eldest son hasn’t spoken – or acknowledged – his parents since.
Now, during an appearance on Today with Jenna & Sheinelle on Tuesday, April 21, former Spice Girl Victoria, 52, has shared a telling statement. Talking to the hosts, she said: “We always put our children first.
“We love our children so much and have always really focused on protecting our children, but we laugh a lot. David Beckham is really, super funny.”

And instead of speaking about Brooklyn, their feud and any apparent issues with Nicola Peltz-Beckham, the fashion designer tried to showcase the remaining family’s strong bond. As well as Brooklyn, 27, Posh and Becks are parents to Romeo, 23, and Cruz, 21, and daughter Harper, 14.
Speaking of dealing with tough times as a group, Victoria went on: “You know, myself and David, we’re so close and we have incredible people around us. We’re close to my parents and David’s parents.
“We support each other through everything that we do. We’ve grown together. And that’s where I feel so blessed.
“We really have grown together. We support each other. We’ve both got big dreams. We’re both very, very ambitious and we support each other. I want him to be the best version of himself and that’s what he wants for me.”
In a blunt comment, Victoria revealed she is less interested in what people think of her as she gets older. “You genuinely care less about what people think,” she said.
“You accept who you are, you embrace who you are. You make the best of what you’ve got. You look in the mirror and you go, ‘OK,’ you look at what’s OK versus focusing on what you don’t like.”
In his outburst, Brooklyn took aim at his mum’s actions. His savage retort read: “”I do not want to reconcile with my family. I’m not being controlled, I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life.
“For my entire life, my parents have controlled narratives in the press about our family. The performative social media posts, family events and inauthentic relationships have been a fixture of the life I was born into.”
He dug in deeper, adding: “My parents have been trying endlessly to ruin my relationship since before my wedding, and it hasn’t stopped. My mum cancelled making Nicola’s dress in the eleventh hour despite how excited she was to wear her design, forcing her to urgently find a new dress.
“Weeks before our big day, my parents repeatedly pressured and attempted to bribe me into signing away the rights to my name, which would have affected me, my wife, and our future children.”
Since his outburst, Brooklyn has continuously blanked his family and any special dates in public. However, he has shared touching posts to Nicola’s family and friends.
