Dianna Russini Questions Mike Vrabel About Wife, His Remark Sparks Concern, ‘I Get Too Aggressive..’

NFL reporter Dianna Russini and New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel are all over the media all over again after new pictures of them kissing each other surfaced. Despite being married to their respective partners, Dianna and Mike were seen together at a luxury resort in Sedona, Arizona, and their photos sparked rumours of an affair.

In a 2025 offseason interview, Dianna Russini questioned Mike Vrabel about his wife, Jen Vrabel, who played for Ohio State’s volleyball team from 1993 to 1996. In the clip, Dianna asked Mike, ‘Jen is a superb athlete…’ and Mike interrupts her by saying, “I’d say used to be…”, Dianna further asked Mike if there was any sport where Jen could beat him, and he answered, “Ping pong.”

Surprised by Mike’s response, Dianna further quipped, “Have you ever done it with her?” Answering Dianna, Mike said, ‘I get too aggressive’ to which Dianna agreed, “Yeah, I can see that.” Mike Vrabel’s remark about Jennifer Vrabel’s athleticism has sparked outrage, as many feel he tried to insult his wife. On the other hand, Dianna’s statement regarding knowing about Mike’s aggression also raised eyebrows.

Mike and Jen attended Ohio State University, but didn’t earn their degrees at the same time. Jen was also an athlete, while Mike played football, she was in the volleyball team. Regarding her achievements as an athlete, Jen was a two-time AVCA All-District selection and a two-time All-Big Ten and Academic All-Big Ten honoree.

Page Six shared exclusive pictures of New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel and New York Times NFL reporter Dianna Russini. The images, reportedly taken on March 28, 2026, showed Dianna and Mike holding hands and hugging on a private rooftop bungalow during the evening.  Since then, the duo has been under hot water.

During a recently held press conference, Mike spoke to the media about the Dianna Russini scandal. The Patriots’ head coach stated that he had a conversation with his team’s players as he didn’t want his personal life to hamper their game. Additionally, Mike stated that he had some ‘difficult conversations’ with the people he cares about, including his family, the organisation where he works, the coaches, and the players. 

Mike Vrabel and Jen Vrabel’s over two-decade-long marriage and kids

Mike and Jen Vrabel were college sweethearts when they met at Ohio State University. After dating for many years, Mike and Ken married in 1999 and celebrated 25 years of togetherness in 2024. They share two sons: Tyler Vrabel, born in June 2000, and Carter Michael Vrabel, born in November 2001. Jen worked as a dental hygienist in Columbus, Ohio, initially, while Mike spent time in Pittsburgh due to his busy NFL schedule.

Mike has often credited his wife for her immense support. In a press conference introducing him as the Tennessee Titans’ head coach in 2018, Mike spoke about Jen’s contribution in his career and said:

“I love her to death. She’s been through a lot, and she understands this league. I want to thank Jen, who’s been along for this ride for quite a while.”
