‘Perfect Crown’ Episode 4 Ending Explained, Will ‘I-an’ Succeed In Saving ‘Hui-ju’ After Car Crash?

Perfect Crown, the South Korean romantic comedy series, is currently the talk of the town. Perfect Crown, starring IU and Byeon Woo-Seok, has left people intrigued with its intense romance and palace politics. IU has stepped in as ‘Hui-ju’, a successful businessman with a cursed past and Byeon Woo-Seok has stepped in as ‘I-an’, a prince who leads a restricted life. What happens in Perfect Crown episode 4?

Episode 4 of Perfect Crown kicks off with a romantic scene between ‘Hui-ju’ and ‘I-an’. They are kissing as the camera captures them. ‘I-an’s’ surprising move to kiss ‘Hui-ju’ makes her baffled. However, when ‘Hui-ju’ understands that this private moment will be the big news of the next day, she asks ‘I-an’ if they should give some closer shots. The next morning, ‘I-an’ and ‘Hui-ju’s’ private moment becomes the talk of the town. But the duo’s romantic moment makes many at the palace, including ‘Yi-rang’, disappointed.

Meanwhile, ‘I-an’ attends a meeting with the royal dignitaries. As the royal officials want ‘I-an’ to cut ties with the commoner, ‘Hui-ju’, Prime Minister ‘Min’ suggests ‘I-an’ to reveal that he is in a relationship with ‘Hui-ju’ instead of announcing their marriage. As episode 4 proceeds, the audience sees ‘Hui-ju’ getting criticised for being the illegitimate son. ‘I-an’ tries his best to protect ‘Hui-ju’ from all the criticism. Amid this, the duo comes closer. ‘I-an’ accompanies ‘Hui-ju’ to the big Castle Shark event, where people participate in sports activities. During the event, ‘I-an’ and ‘Hui-ju’ are captured on the love camera, leaving many surprised and excited.

Following this, Prime Minister, ‘Min’, who is also present at the big Castle Shark event, accompanies ‘Hui-ju’ and ‘I-an’ to dinner. However, when ‘Hui-ju’ tells ‘I-an’ to start eating, ‘Min’ intervenes and reveals that royals are not allowed to have any raw food. Hearing this restriction, when ‘Hui-ju’ asks ‘I-an’ about the other things that he cannot do, a flashback reveals his painful past. Once, ‘I-an’ was beaten up by his father for trying on the Crown Prince’s robe. Out of many things, ‘I-an’ is not allowed to wear red. These things prove his extremely painful past, where he was treated badly by his own people.

Court lady ‘Choi Jin-sook’ takes charge of training ‘Hui-ju’ in the royal lessons, and as she is a respected figure at the palace, ‘I-an’ cannot refuse. From royal history to body postures and etiquette, the court lady teaches ‘Hui-ju’ everything. The training lessons are held in ‘I-an’s’ private residence, and when he comes to visit ‘Hui-ju’, she asks him to take ‘Choi Jin-sook’ away. Although, ‘I-an’ orders ‘Choi Jin-sook’ to return to the palace, she appears the next day and continues with her harsh training. During her training period, ‘Hui-ju’ meets the young king, and when she notices that the kid wants to play, she gathers everyone and ensures to have fun-filled play sessions.

The fun-filled play sessions bring the little king and ‘Hui-ju’ closer, and the former grows fond of the latter. The young king then requests ‘Hui-ju’ to take him on a ride in her car. Initially, the little king’s caretakers hesitate, but after repeated requests, they allow ‘Hui-ju’ to take the little king on a car ride.

Soon, a simple outing takes a dangerous turn. Due to brake failure, ‘Hui-ju’s’ car loses control, putting her and the little king’s lives at risk. Hearing this, ‘I-an’, who is on his way back to his residence without thinking twice, puts his own life at risk to save ‘Hui-ju’ and the little king. The episode ends with ‘I-an’ saving them, but his own injured condition leaves them feeling worried for him.
