The London Marathon 2026 is kicking off this weekend, with likes of Cynthia Erivo, James Norton, and Jack O’Connell set to be among the celebrities running.

For those running, they may be wondering how they shape up compared to some famous faces, here’s a breakdown of some of the best celebrity marathon times.

Harry Styles: 2:59.13 (2025 Berlin Marathon)

Harry Styles has run two marathons, both in 2025, and managed a sub 3 hour race in his second race of the year. The former One Direction star ran the Tokyo marathon in March 2025 in 3.24.07 hours, and then managed to shave around 25 minutes off his time with a 2:59.13 in Berlin, under the alias, Sted Sarandos.

Fans have speculated that Harry might be secretly set to run the London marathon, after working out that other worldwide marathons would be in conflict with his tour schedule. Officially, the star is not on the attendance list for the race.

Spencer Matthews: 3:07:25 (2025 London Marathon)

Former Made In Chelsea star Spencer Matthews, 37, has become an ultra marathon runner in recent years, and managed to run the London Marathon in 3:07:25 in 2025.

In 2024, Spencer set a Guinness World Record in by completing 30 marathons in 30 days in the Jordanian desert.

Harry Judd (McFly): 3:14:37 in(2024 London Marathon)

McFly’s Harry Judd will be competing in the London Marathon this weekend, making it the fourth time he has taken part in the 26.2 mile run around the city.

His personal best was in 2024, with his 2025 time coming in just a minute later at 3.15, its thought that the drummer will be trying again for a PB this weekend.

Bryan Cranston: 3:20:45 (1985 NYC Marathon)

The Breaking Bad star is another A-lister with a surprise background in running. The Malcolm in the Middle actor Bryan Cranston’s has run four marathons in total with his best marathon time at 3:20:45 in the 1985 New York Marathon.

He ran the marathon again the year after in 1986, finishing both in roughly the same impressive time, and all four of his marathons have been completed in under four hours.

Gordon Ramsay: 3:30:37 (2004 London Marathon)

TV Chef Gordon Ramsay managed to run the 2004 marathon in just 3:30:37. The chef has become a marathon runner having completed over 15 marathons, as well as Ironman World Championships.

His daughter Tilly will be completing the London Marathon this sunday for the first time, likely with her family in tow to support her.

Cynthia Erivo: 3:35:36 (2022 London Marathon)

The Wicked star’s PB marathon is 3:35:36, after running the 2022 marathon across London. The actor is set to run the marathon this weekend once again and is attempting to break 3 hours 15.

She also ran the 2016 New York City Marathon in 3:57:07, so has actually never run a marathon over four hours.

Joe Wicks 3:40:00 (2019 London Marathon)

The Body Coach finished the 2019 London Marathon in 3:40:00 and is set to run again this Sunday alongside Daddy Pig, Peppa Pig’s father.

He ran to support the Teenage Cancer Trust in 2019 when he hit it PB, and in 2026 he will be running to help raise money and awareness for the National Deaf Children’s Society (NDCS).

Several other A-listers have had impressive marathon times including Adele Roberts: 3:36:15 (2025 London Marathon), Abby Wambach: 3:44:25, George W. Bush: 3:44:52 (1993 Houston Marathon), Edward Norton: 3:48:01 (2009, New York City Marathon), Ryan Reynolds : 3:50:22 (2008 New York City).

Josh O’Connor ran the 2023 London Marathon in a time of 3:50:10, with Will Ferrell finishing a marathon in 3:56:12, and Pippa Middleton finishing one in 3:56:33.
